Diletto a Napoli

The apartment occupies the vaulted rooms on the main floor of Palazzo Caracciolo*, built in the late 16th century, just steps from the main decumanus of Naples's old town, Via Tribunali, in a strategic location for discovering the magic of Naples and the millennia-old culture that permeates it.
The recent renovation by the architect owners has transformed it into a charming B&B, with rooms characterized by the spacious, antique feel of the high vaulted ceilings painted blue, echoing the frescoed atrium of the building, clearly visible from the apartment and its antique piperno balcony overlooking the courtyard.
The rooms offer quiet repose, with cozy beds beneath the vaulted ceilings, terracotta or marble chip floors, and bathrooms featuring handcrafted blue and light blue ceramics.
"It's sweet to feel enclosed within these old factories, watched over and protected by their familiar faces; almost like finding yourself in the house where we spent our childhood... a refuge only for bodies, or no longer for souls?" Benedetto Croce in “Neapolitan Stories and Legends”

A few meters away, San Gregorio Armeno and the street of the nativity scene artisans, the entrance to the Naples Underground, the Church of San Lorenzo, the Duomo and the Treasure of San Gennaro, the Sansevero Chapel, the Archaeological Museum, and the new MADRE Museum of Contemporary Art.
